In VGC, this is a rare bird indeed and a rock machine, but is actually quite versatile. Widely regarded as one of the finest Squier Stratocasters ever made. Many players consider it comparable to or even better than some Mexican Fenders from the same era. No case.

• The bridge is the original Floyd Rose–licensed unit that came on the Pro Tone Floyd models. Those bridges are quite good and were one of the features that set the Pro Tone apart from most Squiers of the era.
• The Seymour Duncan bridge humbucker (I believe it's an SH-4) is the only modification. That's generally viewed as an upgrade rather than a negative by most players, especially if the original pickup wasn't retained.
• The gold hardware appears to be in excellent condition for a 30-year-old guitar. Gold plating usually wears quickly, but this one is remarkably clean.
• The neck has developed a beautiful amber tint that gives it a vintage look.
