A versatile Yamaha 5-string BB bass built for players who want extended low-end range, classic BB punch, and dependable performance across rehearsals, sessions, and live gigs.

• 5-string BB Series design with extended low B range
• Custom V3 ceramic P/J pickup configuration delivers punch, clarity, and tonal flexibility
• Balanced alder body provides strong resonance and comfortable weight distribution
• Slim maple neck offers fast, comfortable modern playability
• Vintage-inspired BB styling with reliable Yamaha consistency

The Yamaha BB235 expands the proven BB Series platform into a versatile 5-string configuration designed for players who need greater low-end range without sacrificing articulation or overall feel. Built around Yamaha’s custom V3 ceramic pickup system, the BB235 combines the warmth and fullness of a split-coil neck pickup with the focused definition of a single-coil bridge pickup, creating a highly adaptable bass suited for rock, pop, funk, metal, modern worship, and session work.

The alder body delivers balanced resonance with strong low-frequency response and solid note clarity across all five strings. Yamaha’s updated BB body shape improves overall balance and ergonomics while preserving the traditional visual identity that has made the BB Series a long-standing favorite among working bass players.

The slim maple neck gives the BB235 a comfortable and approachable feel despite the added range of a 5-string layout. Combined with the rosewood fingerboard, lightweight open-gear tuners, and vintage-style bridge design, the bass feels responsive, controlled, and dependable during extended rehearsals, studio tracking, and live performance.

The Raspberry Red finish gives the BB235 a bold vintage-inspired appearance with rich visual warmth and strong stage-ready character. Its deeper red tone pairs naturally with the BB body shape and chrome hardware, creating a bass that feels expressive, classic, and confidently performance-focused without becoming overly flashy.
