Fender Stratocaster Plus 1987 - 1988 - Gunmetal Blue

1987 - 1988 Fender Stratocaster Plus in rare Gunmetal Blue finish.

This is an early production model from the first year of the Strat Plus series, featuring the coveted "E4" serial number prefix. Built in the USA, this guitar was the absolute top of the line production guitar from the period with performance features like Gold Lace Sensor Pickups, Wilkinson Roller Nut, Black Dot Sperzel Tuners, Hipshot Tremsetter, and TBX Tone Control.

The guitar is in very good shape overall with only minor surface scratches and light dings consistent with use in a guitar of its age (see images). The most notable condition issue is a series of light dings on the back of the neck between the 7th and 13th frets (see images). I  don’t notice them at all during play, but they can be felt on careful inspection. The body, pickguard, and plastics appear to be nicely yellowed with age, which heightens the finish’s green character and makes the guitar look killer overall!

Includes OHSC. Please note that the back plate and trem arm are not included.
