For sale: the one and only SIRE Marcus Miller V7 Fretless with mods.

First generation.

Built from alder, maple, and rosewood. Based on the serial number, my instrument dates back to 2016. The photos do not fully capture the beauty of the finish. Its official color name is Metallic Red, but it contains a lot of orange, carrot, and vermilion tones. The full specifications of this instrument can easily be found online.

This bass has been upgraded well beyond the standard specification with:

1. 1. Sadowsky preamp featuring Master Volume / Blend / Vintage Tone / Stacked Treble / Bass Boost controls (Sadowsky’s top-tier preamp model).
2. 2. DiMarzio DP249 Area J pickups (hum-cancelling Jazz Bass pickups).
3. 3. A custom rosewood ramp/fingerboard extension allowing playing up to the equivalent of the “31st fret.” It is attached with double-sided tape, making it easy to remove if desired.
4. 4. Ernie Ball Cobalt Slinky Flatwound 45–105 strings.
5. 5. Schaller-style strap lock buttons compatible with Schaller strap locks.
6. 6. Side fret markers on the edge of the neck. The markers were made using orange fluorescent paint hardened with CA glue. After exposure to UV light (fluorescent lamp, UV flashlight, etc.), they glow nicely in the dark.

Considering its age of 10 years, the instrument is in good condition. There are a few scratches and minor dings here and there, but they are difficult to even capture in photographs. The bass has been professionally set up and is free of any issues. It is ready to play.
