Elektron Digitakt II is an advanced sampler and groovebox for working with stereo samples, MIDI sequencing, and sound design in standalone mode.

Digitakt II builds on the idea of Elektron’s classic drum computer, offering 16 audio or MIDI tracks, stereo sampling, and an expanded workflow based on parameter locks, trig modes, and song mode. It is a tool for quickly building beats, arrangements, and sonic experiments without relying on a computer.

You have access to various sample‑playback and processing machines, multimode filters, track‑based overdrive, plus delay, reverb, and chorus effects. This makes Digitakt II suitable both as a sampler for cutting and layering material and as a central sequencer for external synths and modular gear.

Elektron has expanded memory, pattern length, and modulation options, so you can build more complex rhythmic and harmonic structures. MIDI tracks offer per‑step polyphony, assignable CCs, and LFOs, simplifying control of an entire setup from a single device.

Digitakt II comes with 400 MB of sample memory and a 20 GB internal storage drive labeled “+Drive”, letting you keep many stereo samples and full projects on board without needing a computer. The 128‑step sequencer allows individual pattern length and time‑scale multiplier per track, plus trig conditions, trig chance, retriggering, micro‑timing, and a Euclidean pattern generator for each track, giving you very fine‑grained control over groove and timing.

Hardware‑wise, Digitakt II features a 128×64‑pixel OLED screen, balanced ¼” audio in and outs with 24‑bit/48 kHz conversion, MIDI in/out/thru with DIN sync, and a USB 2.0 port that also serves as a class‑compliant audio interface.

The rugged steel chassis, compact size, and VESA‑mount holes make it robust for both studio use and live performance, while Overbridge‑style DAW integration is planned to expand its role in computer‑based production
