The Sontronics STC-20 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone built around a 1-inch gold-sputtered capsule with a fixed cardioid pattern, which helps reject off-axis sound in untreated rooms. It covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz with an equivalent noise level of 18 dB (A-weighted) and handles up to roughly 120 to 125 dB SPL, making it suited to vocals, acoustic instruments and general project-studio recording. It runs on 48V phantom power via a 3-pin XLR connector.
