In terms of construction, Jackson uses an extra-long 35" scale length (889 mm) for the JS Series Spectra Bass JS3V, and also integrates the low B-string into the sound with precise definition. The bass guitar's ergonomically shaped poplar body also promises optimal balance on the strap and thigh. The flat "speed neck" profile of the bolt-on maple neck and the compound radius (305 mm to 406 mm) of the Indian Laurel fingerboard, which increases from 12" to 16", also promise excellent playing characteristics from the highest to the lowest register.

At the bass amp, the JS3V Spectra Bass with two Jackson medium-output humbuckers delivers powerful bass tones with the perfect dose of low-end growl suitable for almost any style of music. While the mini switch splits the pickup to single coils and thus retrieves wiry-transparent tones, the active 3-band tone control allows for particularly precise customisation of the personal Bass sound. In addition, the 5-string Bass can be played in classic passive mode if desired.
