• Firmware OS v2.0 is the latest and final operating system issued by Akai for the S3000 series sampler.
• Included will be 2 legitimately new ROM chips to complete the upgrade.
• This upgrade will function in both S3000 as well as S3000i revisions.

Note - The S3000 itself not for sale. Only the ROM upgrade chipswill be supplied.

Unlike some others, No used orrefurbished as “new” or “mint” components will be supplied here.

• The OS v2.0 upgrade primarily focuses on resolving issues caused by Akai’s previously poor non-compliant implementation of the SCSI protocol in its system code. This is especially important for users out there that wish to use their S3000 with MESA II as well as Recycle 2.0.

Please note: If you happen to have the “SCSI Waiting” message whenyou turn on your S3000, it means the SCSI fuse is blown.  I have re-settable fuses (fuses thatnever blow) for sale in another listing. Unsure / confused? Send me a message.
