Finish: Sparkling Burgandy

Set-up & Playability: Super to play! Currently has tape wound strings - light tension and really nimble.

Case: Orignal Hardshell

Notes: Really cool, rare and weird Gibson bass!

Pickguard was replaced because the original was brittle and cracking, but the OG pickguard is in the case. Everything else on the bass is stock. Vintage coil cable and naugahyde strap (not pictured) included as well!

There is some wear on this bass - the most significant of which is some "rub burn" on the top of the neck. There is some spots where the gold peaks through, and one spot on the heel where the paint is oxidizing green from the copper in it. Gibson called this color "Sparkling Burgundy" which is funny to me, because it basically just Candy Apple Red - that is to say, gold pain with a translucent red sprayed over it.

Again - other than the pickguard, the bass is all original. The replacement pickguard I got is from WD and is a pretty dead replica. Original pickguard is included.

As always, we cleaned it up, polished the finish, flushed the electronics (if applicable), changed the strings, performed all routine maintenance and set the action low and smooth. All of our packages are packed tight enough to survive the apocalypse and we insure every parcel for the full purchase amount.

Got questions? Shoot me a message, I love nerding out with other gearheads!
