LA PELUSA EXPERIENCE FUZZ is our version of the legendary Fuzz Face circuit, for which we combine current top quality components with other New Old Stock from the 60s-70s such as transistors. This makes the sound and the connection with your guitar a unique experience.

We offer two versions of this circuit:

This version mounts N.O.S. germanium transistors tested and matched to make this pedal sound thick and warm in the purest vintage style.

On this circuit board, which we designed ourselves, you will find three trimmers:

GAIN: Adjusts the amount of gain like a fuzz potentiometer would.

CLEAN: Adjusts the input impedance. It can be used to clean up the sound just like you would when lowering the volume on your guitar. It can also be used to remove RF interference that can be a problem in certain areas.

BIAS Q1: This trimmer will always come to you adjusted and with a “mark” to offer the best sound. I recommend that you return to that position after you have experimented with it.

The external potentiometers are easy to use, one corresponds to the volume and the other to the Bias setting of the second transistor ( Q2 ).

Why an external Bias? In the germanium version it will be very useful on days with high temperatures when the germanium transistors present some instability. In the silicon version (also in the germanium version) it will be useful to slightly modify the sound and adapt it to your personal taste. In both versions you can use it to compensate for the battery drain if you use it.
