Two of the original (1st eddition) BlackHoles
Once BH-1 made Its way to international shows and it was recognised these later became the BH-1s with a pad switch added and another single pattern/capsule microphone was produced - the BH-2 since it was much easyer and cheeper to make and much more affordable. So the BH-1 was discontinued.
About this pair here: One of them has been a demo microphone from the original production team and was personally carried around to shows and studios by Juris, Eddie and JZ's marketing team as a demostration back in a day. The other one is its successor presumably. They both come from the same sorce in production team and are #34 & #64 ever made. Both in working Condition, but both has there early model related problems like losing ground connection in joints or screws and overall connection issues after they are left for long periods of time so they have to be wiggled ar little and screws retightenned once in a while to get them back to work :)
Anyways I'm listing both for a price of one BH1 as repair material. I have another one of these that I reassembled and it worked great and has been working ever since. No soldering was involved just screws and it worked great. havent repaired these two but I can tell you whats wrong exactly: 1st One has noise untill you move the xlr together with connection little to correct possition and the other one has Its front capsule disconnecting sometimes so only the back one works. Sometimes both work.. thats it. Besides the fact that they are 20 years old and one of JZ logo's are missing they work great. One more things I did with the other BH-1 Ir own (as I do with most old large condenser capsules) I heat it on 50°c for 5 hours with digital termometer inside and than leave them over nght to rest to get rid of excess moisture that can acumulate inside the capsule over Time. It gets rid of any artifacts and most of selfnoise. Milar's working temperature is up to 60° before it starts to deform so Its safe for capsule as long as Its done right. None of that has been done to these microphones - I left them as I got them for latter or for someone else to figure it out if I decide to sell them. a little bit of a project for you - enjoy! ;)
