Martin Custom OM-42 Golden Era

Exquisite Martin Custom OM-42 Golden Era, offering a warm and superb tone with excellent playability and supreme craftsmanship. The tone of the instrument is just warm and mellow, with wonderful overtones and balance. Dream guitar!

This Martin Custom OM-42 Golden Era is built with incredible craftsmanship and constructed from the finest materials. She features a natural full gloss finish, providing a pleasing look to complement the elegance of the perfectly grained premium Alpine Spruce and a beautiful set of East Indian Rosewood. On top of that, she is dressed with style 42 Abalone inlays. Awesome looks! Alpine spruce is a tonewood with the longest tradition in music instrument making, having been used in making guitars, violins, and pianos for centuries. At present, premium Alpine Spruce is an exclusive tonewood because the available sets needed to meet the premium Martin Custom Shop quality standard is limited.

From a tonal perspective, Alpine Spruce offers more focus, with slightly stronger fundamentals, very sweet high notes and lots of overtones. We choose a Premium set for this beauty, adding to the tonal capabilities even further. Paired with super straight-grained quarter sawn Indian Rosewood, this awesome guitar has that ‘reverby’ sound and complexity with an abundance of overtones and great sustain. Add the Golden Era top braces and you have a truly responsive guitar. This Martin Custom Shop OM-42 is an exquisite looking tone machine. She is perfect for any acoustic guitar style.
