🔥 VOX AC30/6 — 1964 — SILVER ALNICOS — 🔥

This is a genuine 1964 Vox AC30/6 — the six input version — when these things were essentially hand-assembled lightning bolts that the Beatles, the Shadows, the Stones and every other genius of the era plugged straight into without thinking twice. Serial number 06309.

THE CABINET

Tolex is tired. Honest. Road-worn. It has been places and it shows. The original diamond grille cloth has lived a full and glorious life. The gold trim strip is still doing its job with quiet dignity. Original Servaas Muziekhandel dealer sticker still present on the front panel — this amp came to the Netherlands young and never left. That's called provenance.

THE HEART

Pull off the back panel and both original Silver Alnico speakers are staring right back at you. VOX-labelled. Unmolested. These Alnicos ARE the sound. Not part of the sound. THE sound. The shimmer. The chime. The thing that makes grown guitarists cry in car parks. Both have original Pulsonic cones.

THE CHASSIS

AC30/6 stamped directly into the aluminium chassis. No sticker. No nonsense. All three original transformers like the OH 114/DT mains transformer with full voltage selector intact. Original PE 241/DT choke — 20 Henries, 100mA — still labeled, still working, still magnificent. Four EL84 power tubes. Point-to-point wiring throughout. A JMI product.

COMPLETELY CHECKED OVER. READY TO PLAY.

This amp has been gone through properly. Not a "I turned it on and it worked" situation. Checked. Assessed. Sorted. It is ready for a studio, a stage, or a very serious living room.

This is a museum piece that still rocks.
