Dizengoff Audio Type 120 Dynamics Processor 2021 - Grey

Up for sale is a PAIR of ultra rare Dizengoff Audio Type 120 Dynamics Processor for 500-series racks. These were only sold for a couple of months and it's a one-man shop building them.

Dizengoff Audio was famous for hand-building high-end, vintage-inspired studio circuits at accessible prices. The Type 120 is an innovative transient and signal dynamics processor designed to handle everything from subtle levelling to punchy drum compression and track shaping.

- Condition: Excellent physical and operational condition. Smoke-free studio environment.

- Format: Standard single-slot 500 Series module.

- Module Type: Dynamics Processor / Compressor & Transient Controller

- Signal Path: Analog circuit design with discrete components

- I/O: Integrates directly with standard API 500 Series chassis backplanes

- Target Applications: Drums, acoustic instruments, vocals, and bus processing

Almost no information is available on these, so I will inlude a quote from their Instagram:

"Type 120 500 series card. I had fun designing these. Imagine a compressor that could also add some multi-band spectral enhancement…it used the compression action to inject small amounts of germanium style soft clipping based on transient behavior and frequency band. I think it probably has a better application in the mastering world than on the tracking side."
