Scarce Epiphone Japan Les Paul Standard 2000 Figured Honeyburst Plaintop w/ Gibson Hardcase

Here is a very clean and scarce quality crafted Japanese Epiphone LPS-80 Les Paul honeyburst Flametop. Most of the Japanese Epiphones you will see will either have cherry sunburst or photo flame tops. This one is a little bit dfferent.... Built in 2000 at the legendary FujiGen plant in Japan. Not to be confused with the cheap mass-produced Korean/Chinese/whatever Epiphones you see in pretty much every guitar store across the UK. This was built to a very high standard and was a result of the longstanding partnership between Gibson USA and their Japanese distributor, Yamano-Gakki. It has the Gibson open book headstock, long neck tenon, ’59 profile neck, and a really nice solid two-piece carved and age darkened maple honeyburst flametop with some distinctive grain patterns giving it a very cool '59 feel. As mentioned earlier, we do not see many Japanese Epi Standard with tops like this - it is superb from every angle. Weight is very good at 3.7kg. No issues structurally or electrically. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine. Plenty of life left in the frets. No breaks or repairs etc, just a good vintage feel. It is probably the best Japanese Epiphone Les Paul we have ever had throughout the doors at GSG. It has a few bumps and scuffs as you'd expect and is a bit dusty from sitting in the case for a while. All original with no mods. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story. Complete with a period correct 2000 Gibson Les Paul hard case which is in perfect working order although it smells a but musty. A rare and very pretty Japanese FujiGen built Epiphone Les Paul.
