This is a mint condition API 5500 Anniversary Edition from 2024. Everything works perfectly fine. This unit has very low use and comes with the original box.
This limited edition was created to celebrate APIs 55th anniversary. This is the unit number 33 of the 55 units made.

Inspired in the classic API 5500 stereo equalizer, this unit has many extra features thats makes it much more versatile and suitable for applications from tracking mono and stereo sources, mixing, and mastering.

The unit is 3U tall and has a much more comprehensive gain/cut selector, that starts from 0.5dB increments. The frequency bands are also slightly broader in relation to the standard 5500 or 550B units. This special unit also features a variable high pass filter aside the traditional optional shelving curves in the low and high bands. On top of these additional features, this unit can also equalize in Mid / Side mode (M/S), which is great for mastering work.

This limited edition unit is not only about the bigger knobs and different aesthetics, but the several upgrades that make it very special and more powerful than the traditional 5500 units.
