The Yamaha EAD Series (Electronic Acoustic Drums) is our unique system that brings electronic expandability and convenience to acoustic drums. By simply attaching a dedicated sensor unit containing a special microphone and a trigger, you can capture the entire setup in high-quality stereo and combine it with built-in effects and sound sources for greater expression. The professional-grade EAD50 model takes this concept even further. It captures and processes your acoustic sound with amazing precision, merging it seamlessly with electronic sources to create a true hybrid drumming experience. With real-time control and intuitive operation, drummers can shape their own sound as they play—on stage, in the studio, during lessons, while streaming or any other playing situation. EAD50 empowers drummers of all levels to create and perform with a broad palette of sounds.
