Deciding to list my rare, vintage 1973 CMI (Cleartone Musical Instruments) Lead & Bass 50 watt guitar and bass head. This was made by Jim Marshall in England as one of his attempts to skirt his Marshall contract with Rose Morris like he did with Park Amps. It is essentially a hand-wired point-to-point JTM-45 with a solid state rectifier. Runs off two el34 power tubes. The back panel, knobs and cord are not original, but the circuit looks to be. It’s been well taken care. It also has a 120v tap with a selector on the inside of the chassis so it safely runs on USA power.

This amp takes pedals really well and sounds phenomenal by itself. Not really sure how many of these were made, but here’s a chance to own an a piece of oddball Marshall history.

I will label and pack the tubes separately inside the head cabinet for safe transport. I will pack it well and ahip it insured. All sales are final so please ask any questions you have before purchasing or making an offer. I can take more pictures if needed. International buyers please message me to discuss actual shipping costs to your region. I am not responsible for covering any import fees or tariffs for your country, as those costs are most often taken care of at customs.

Thanks for looking!
