Sovtek MIG-50 Head (1990s) in very good condition.

The Sovtek MIG-50 is one of those amplifiers that has become a cult classic over time. Manufactured in Russia in the 1990s by Sovtek, this 50-watt head is clearly inspired by classic British circuitry, offering a raw, direct, and extremely dynamic sound.

Its character is reminiscent of the great British amplifiers of the late 1960s: very present mids, firm bass, and an open treble that cuts through the mix perfectly. It's an amplifier that responds musically to guitar volume and pedals, transitioning from a robust clean to a thick, organic crunch simply by pushing the power amp.

The MIG-50 has earned a special reputation among rock, garage, stoner, and punk guitarists, thanks to its straightforward construction, enormous available volume, and ability to work perfectly with overdrive and fuzz pedals.

Built like a tank, with oversized transformers and a simple yet highly effective circuit, this amp head delivers plenty of tone, plenty of punch, and very little frills. A straightforward, honest amplifier with a very recognizable character.

For those seeking classic tube sound without complications, the Sovtek MIG-50 is one of the most interesting options to emerge from the 90s amplifier scene.

Recently serviced and fitted with new tubes. We replaced the potentiometers, respecting the original values to ensure it functions perfectly; this was the only weak point of these amplifiers (we include the original potentiometers with their knobs).
