The Iommic Box is a Germanium preamp based on EarthQuaker Devices Bows and the modified Dallas Arbiter Treble Booster unit used by legendary Tony Iommi!
***This is a Medium-Gain version of the device, do not mistaken with the Regular or Platinum Hi-Gain version!!!***

Designed around a rare NOS Mil-Spec 1973 (April) GT320V Black Dot PNP USSR Germanium transistor known for its perfect stability and balanced tone, this pedal features only carefully selected components biased for optimal performance in order to achieve the authentic 70's sound of early Black Sabbath records with an extra bit of push. And then I mention such stuff in the description, I do really mean something... 😏

Just like it's genetic father, Iommic Box got several tone shaping abilities spread between two modes: Full Range and Treble. Full mode is warm with a lot of body and low end, so much low end that it can literally shake some earth while cranked! Treble mode is a resonant, classic treble boost with a “cocked wah” tone that can drive any tube amp into harmonic rich Jethro Tull territory.

Each mode has a little bit of grit to start with, but as you get passed 12 o'clock on either setting their subtleties are accented. The vowel-like sound out of the Treble side will be more prevalent as you bring the Level up. Doing the same on Full mode will get you a nice, full bodied crunch tone that retains doomy headroom and eternal clarity.

Place any drive pedal before this and it's another story. Full mode turns a dirt signal into a crumbling wall of sonic chaos and Technical Ecstasy, while Treble mode becomes an ultimate singing lead tone. Fine-tuned to cover all vintage-vibed needs, Iommic Box features a special Platinum Silver metallic finish and a giant chrome knob to stand out as a true king of Ge Rangemaster-inspired units!

Controls are:
Boost - a single enormous-sized Volume control which also adjusts Gain and overall Tone!
Hi/Lo Switch - is a 2-way Selector, switching between the Sabbathy Full Range and stock Treble Boost modes.
