Maurice Lipsky Music Orpheum/Teen Ager model 900. The model name started with a banjo but in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s he contracted with the Italian mfg Wandre’ until 1962 and in 1963 the model was entirely different and being produced by Egmond. The guitar is a close relative of the Wandre‘ labeled Teen-Ager and Blu Jean. This model was produced during the Wandre’ and Davoli years which were from 57-60 as per Fetishguitars article.
The body is a molded tri-lam of veneer woods and a high gloss polyester. Aluminum neck, rosewood fretboard and an amazingly simple neck/body joint assembly, completely adjustable with 2 nuts. All the necks on the Wandre’s are nice and straight. The black fret marker at 12th fret is just that and not a missing white one. The frets are ok. There’s divots but no buzzing or fretting out.
This ones electronics work but the tone pot is wonky And the volume isn’t right either. The plastic plug for additional vol/tone pots is starting to crumble. I’ll include new pots in order to sell it with original part.
comes with a case That is not the original.
