CLEAN 1971 Magnus 360 Chord Organ. Made in 🇺🇸

You know it, you love it! The Magnus chord organ. Between the 50's and early 70's, millions of these shipped form New Jersey to kids around the country (and world).

The Magnus chord organs are electric and fan powered (pushing air to vibrate metal reeds) giving them the sound that I've heard described as more akin to an "electric accordian" than a pipe organ (think a DIY cover of Memory of a Free Festival). These are popular for lofi recording because the tone along with the constant hum of the fan are very comforting. If you like lofi/DIY/indie, you've probably heard these things 1000 times.

This one is in great shape, both mechanically and cosmetically. Everything works, little scuffing for a light color. It is a relatively rare tan finish...if you owned a computer in the 80s (or have seen one) you know this color 😄.

The standard number decal on this one was missing, and those old decals leave some gnarly residue, so I smoothed it out and gave it a blue sparkle vinyl wrap.

Plays very well, all keys work, puts out surprising volume. The fan sounds nice, if you're into that sort of thing, but the chassis is quiet. Super sturdy, though I would treat it with care as it is antique instrument.

The Magnus gives you 6 major chords and 25 keys to do your thing. Like all of these sorts of organs, it is tuned perfectly to itself and a few cents sharp across the board.
