The ESP E-II GB-5 String Bass has been designed with an extended frequency range that delivers am uncompromised tone and performance with a cool contemporary vibe. Thanks to its set of Seymour Duncan SSB-5 pickups, which have been specifically designed for 5-string basses, this model delivers an incredibly strong and versatile tone that can accommodate drop tunings. Along with its powerful pickups, this bass also features Seymour Duncan's STC-3M3 preamp, offering the ultimate tone shaping and a special slap switch on the volume pot to deliver a specially voiced EQ designed for slap playing.

Constructed from a solid alder body and a maple neck and fingerboard, the E-II GB provides a beautifully bright, warm tone, with plenty of depth and dynamics ideal for a variety of musical styles. Also equipped with a Hipshot A style bridge and Gotoh tuners for an incredibly stable performance, the ESP E-II GB-5 Bass Guitar is delivered with a hardshell case for the ultimate protection. The ESP E-II Bass comes equipped with a set of Seymour Duncan SSB-5 Soapbar pickups, which deliver a strong sonic punch with great tonal properties suitable for a variety of playing styles. This pickup is designed for 5-string basses and drop tunings, offering the same articulation and low-end clarity shine found on 4-string basses but with an extended frequency range. Their moderate output provide subtle tonal qualities, adding an extra layer of depth and providing players with a beautifully organic feel.

This model also features a Seymour Duncan STC-3M3 Preamp, designed with a 3-band EQ for stacked bass/treble control and their proprietary slap switch located on the volume pot. Its bass, mids, and treble knobs provide the perfect level of control over the frequencies, while the balancer and volume controls let you find the bass’ sweet spot on any stage. Engaging the slap switch will deliver a specially voiced EQ contour, designed for the unique tones created from slap playing.

Sculpted for perfection
This bass is constructed from a solid ash body, which offers an enhanced low end with extra layers of depth. It delivers a classic rich, warm tone, featuring plenty of treble and bright characteristics to create an incredible amount of sustain. When combined with the maple neck and fingerboard infuses the ESP E-II with a strong midrange and a crisp, warm bass, making it ideal for a variety of playing styles.

The maple neck and fingerboard creates beautifully bright tones, with even harmonics and a powerful fundamental character. This tonewood is the perfect choice for producing clear and present notes, with its strong sustain and sharp bite adding extra detail to the top end while tightening up the low-end. Thanks to the bolt-on construction, the overall tone is enhanced with more treble and attack than traditional set-necks, offering plenty of articulation and upper fret access. The neck also features a thin-U profile, allowing players to easily reach across the entire fingerboard without losing any comfort.
