Pickard "Red Neck Tele" Pine

Our "in-house" version of what a Telecaster should be.....bare bones, REAL solid wood, and all about the tone!  This guitar has a solid pine body, custom padauk neck and fingerboard, and a set of custom pickups made to spec from our pals at the Schecter USA custom shop.  From the wonderful wood grain in the pine body, to the "knotty" brazilian walnut pickgaurd, this guitar is all ORGANIC!  If it's not solid wood, then it doesn't belong on this guitar! 

"There's no doubt that the telecaster is one of the most duplicated models of the modern electric guitar....why?.....Because they're simple and they're workhorses!  After owning about a dozen "boutique" teles, I'm still not sure what makes a tele "boutique".  It's such a straightforward platform for a guitar, use real wood and make a nice neck, and chances are you'll have a fantastic guitar without spending a ton of cash.  So that was the goal with this guitar, make it play great, and make it affordable.  I think we nailed it with this guitar, it's not choked up with a ton of paint, you can actually feel the vibrance of the solid pine body, and it just works!"

This is one of those "x-factor" guitars.....plays and sounds incredible!!  We let several local "tele-afficianados" give her a test drive and everyone agrees that there's something about this tonewood combination that's awesome.

*Note, this guitar is solid pine with an oil finish....while Mr.Pickard believes that this is the best finish for sound, it will scratch easily.  We can have the guitar painted to the customer's spec for an extra fee, contact us for details.

Return Policy:
Pickard custom electric guitars have a 48-hour approval time period.  If a customer chooses to return the guitar, we require notification withing 48 hours of receiving the instrument as well as proof of return shipping (insured Fed ex only) within 5 working days of the receipt of the instrument.
