The first Tarpley Music store was operated out of a Shamrock, Texas hardware store back in the early 1920s. Eventually, Clara Tarpley would move to Pampa, Texas and establish Tarpley Music Company in 1927. Over nine decades later and we're now Texas and Eastern New Mexico's leading provider of musical instruments, rentals, repairs, commercial audio/visual installation, and music education services. We’re still owned by the same family and are always looking for ways to grow our company by staying on the cutting edge of the music industry, but we haven't forgotten the value and importance of music in schools and the impact music has on the many communities we serve. We strongly believe that music is an important part of life and we're excited to be able to share our passion with so many people across the great state of Texas and the region of Eastern New Mexico!

Shipping Policy
Those of us at Tarpley Music understand that you want the best value for each dollar spent, so we've made almost all orders placed on this shop to ship FREE* once you reach the $95 minimum purchase required!
Lower 48 States - We offer shipping to the contiguous 48 United States only.
Handling Time - In most circumstances, we will process your order within one business day of receipt. We will package all items available from our shelf and charge your credit card for the amount of the items plus applicable sales tax and/or shipping.
$95 Minimum to Qualify - There's a $95 minimum price threshold to get access to free shipping. The only exception would be size and weight of an item**. Note: Some brands don't qualify for free shipping even if you qualify. - Excluded Brands: Strymon
Orders Ship Same or Next Day - We work diligently to ship all orders within one business day, but some items require extra attention to pack. For guitars and other large purchases, please allow time for thorough inspection, setup, and specialty packing. Most orders are shipped using standard methods. We currently use the USPS or FedEx under most circumstances.
Online Orders Only - In order to qualify for FREE shipping, orders must be placed directly on tarpleymusic.com and be more than the $95 minimum threshold. Not valid on in-store purchases or phone orders.
**Size and Weight Restrictions - Certain products are excluded from free shipping due to size and weight. Items that weigh 100lbs or more may incur shipping charges, as well as large items that need to be shipped via a freight service. These items will be noted as not eligible for Free Shipping.
Returns - If you choose to return your order, we will deduct the cost of shipping from any refund. See our return policy.
*Free shipping applies to orders placed in the Continental US (Lower 48) from the Tarpley Music Reverb Shop (https://reverb.com/shop/tarpleymusic). Some brand restrictions apply. Expedited shipping will be an additional cost.

Returnable within 3 days of delivery.
General Terms
Items must be returned in original, as-shipped condition with all original packaging and no signs of use. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs unless the item was not received as described.
Special Conditions
• New Items: Most new, untouched, unopened items may be returned within 14 days of the date of delivery for a full refund, less outbound shipping costs. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs, unless return is a result of incorrect shipment or defective item. Tarpley Music reserves the right to refuse any return if item is not in new, untouched, or unopened condition.
• Used & Vintage items: Most vintage & used items may be returned within 3 days from the date of delivery. All vintage and used refunds may be subject to a small 5% restocking fee, as well as original outbound shipping costs. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs unless return is a result of incorrect shipment.
• The following items are not returnable under any circumstances: - Strings (Guitar, Bass, Orchestra) - Reeds - Drumheads - Drumsticks - Software - Sheet Music - DVDs/CDs - Harmonicas - Mouthpieces - Earbuds/Headphones (if unsealed) - Or any item that may come in contact with the mouth or ears.
• Items sold "As-Is" and cannot be returned unless it arrives in a condition different from how it was described or photographed.
• We strive to process all refunds within 1 to 3 business days of the return been received at our location. The time it takes for the refund to post to your account could vary based upon your bank's processing times.
