The Custom 24 is the original PRS; the guitar Paul Reed Smith took to his first tradeshow in 1985 and the one that established the brand's reputation for immaculate build quality and versatile tone. This S2 Custom 24-08 takes that legendary platform and adds a level of sonic horsepower and flexibility that is truly staggering. Built around the classic tonewood foundation of a rich, resonant mahogany back and a beautifully figured maple top, this guitar delivers the warm sustain and crisp, articulate snap that has defined countless recordings across every genre. The sleek Pattern Thin mahogany neck and silky East Indian Rosewood fingerboard featuring classic bird inlays ensure an effortless playing experience from the first fret to the twenty-fourth.

At the heart of this formidable machine are the PRS TCI (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance) Treble and Bass humbuckers. These are not your average pickups; they are meticulously voiced to provide exceptional clarity, dynamic balance, and focused punch, ensuring your tone remains clear and defined even at high gain. The true magic of the "08" system lies in its advanced switching: pairing a master volume and tone with a 3-way toggle switch AND dual mini-toggle coil-split switches. This gives you instant access to eight distinct pickup configurations, allowing you to seamlessly transition from thick, singing humbucker leads to chimey, crystalline single-coil spank without any volume drop. From blues to metal, country to jazz, this guitar handles it all with professional ease. Complete with robust nickel hardware, PRS low-mass locking tuners, and a patented tremolo bridge, this Charcoal Burst beautiful is a reliable workhorse ready for any stage or studio.
