Your Perfect Starting Point or Travel Companion

Here it is. The Taylor Academy 10e is one of those guitars we recommend constantly, and for good reason. It delivers that classic, full-bodied Taylor dreadnought tone but with features designed for pure playing comfort. This pre-owned model is in mint condition, offering a fantastic value for a player who wants a serious instrument without the serious price tag. It's the perfect guitar to kickstart your journey or a reliable workhorse for the seasoned pro.

Torrefied Top for Aged-In Tone

The secret to the Academy 10e's rich voice is its torrefied Sitka spruce top. This special roasting process mimics the natural aging of wood, giving you a guitar that sounds warm, open, and responsive right out of the case. It has that played-in sweetness that usually takes years to develop, with a punchy midrange and clear, articulate highs that make chords ring and melodies sing.

Comfort is King

Taylor didn't just focus on tone; they obsessed over feel. The guitar features a beveled walnut armrest, a feature typically found on high-end instruments, which smooths the edge for your picking arm for hours of comfortable playing. Combined with the slender, easy-playing Taylor neck and a slightly shorter 24-7/8" scale length, this guitar feels incredibly welcoming from the first strum.

Stage-Ready Electronics

Ready to plug in and play? The onboard Taylor ES-B electronics make it simple. This system cleanly translates the guitar's natural acoustic voice for live performance or recording, and it includes a built-in digital tuner so you're always ready to go. It's a no-fuss, great-sounding pickup system that's perfect for open mics, church gigs, or studio sessions.

- In business since 1976! Moore Music has been a premier brick-and-mortar guitar shop in Evansville, Indiana since shortly after opening in 1976. Founder, Pat Moore, instilled in his business the concept of old-school service that we build upon today. When the current owner, Brett Mulzer, took the store online as Moore Guitars in 2013, we quickly developed a reputation for honesty and integrity in all our interactions with our customers. That’s a prime reason why we’re the fastest-growing online guitar shop.

- Old School Customer Service: Nothing is more important than helping a customer even if we don’t make a sale. We believe that if we’re honest with you, and treat you right, you’ll be back. Call us, or chat with us online. We love talking about guitars, and we want to help you find your perfect instrument. Even if it’s not from us.... but we think it will be!

- Our sales staff are all musicians! What’s more important than communication? We speak your language. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional player, we’ve been in your shoes. A lot of aspects of the guitar are intangible, and a non-player just can’t understand. It’s a guitar thing. But we can talk about tone and feel in the same language you use. We know what it means to love an instrument, and we want to help you find your new love.

You should have NO disappointments when you see this guitar and hold it for its first strum! Please call the staff at Moore Guitars if you would like to have a personal “on the phone” description of this guitar. Thank you for looking at our listing!
