John Petrucci's signature JP15 delivers everything a progressive metal shredder needs: a lightweight okoume body with stunning figured maple top, roasted maple neck for speed, and stainless steel frets for durability. The electronics are seriously versatile—dual DiMarzio pickups, piezo bridge for acoustic tones, and switchable magnetic/piezo outputs let you dial in any sound.
A custom floating tremolo, locking tuners, and a 20+dB gain boost keep everything locked in tight, even during intense playing. The hand-rubbed oil finish feels natural and fast under your fingers, while the control layout gives you full command over your tone. Built for maximum functionality and breathtaking looks, this is a guitar that handles anything you throw at it.
From Ernie Ball Music Man:
"The JP15 features a lightweight okoume body with your choice of a quilted or flame maple top, offered in striking Red Tide, Green Tiger Eye, Ultramarine, and Amber Waves finishes. Its roasted figured maple neck and fingerboard deliver a smooth, fast-playing surface enhanced by stainless steel frets and a hand-rubbed oil and wax finish for natural comfort. Electronics include DiMarzio Illuminator pickups, a piezo-equipped bridge for realistic acoustic tones, and an onboard 20+dB gain boost for added punch and tonal range.
The piezo system supports mono or stereo output, letting you route magnetic and piezo signals through separate chains. Two 3-way toggle switches give you full control—one selects between magnetic, piezo, or combined output, while the other toggles between bridge, neck, or both magnetic pickups. A push/push tone knob splits the coils in the middle position for added versatility. Additional features include a floating Music Man JP tremolo, locking Schaller tuners, and a Mono case."
