This is the BFR Ernie Ball Family Reserve Albert Lee model in HSS configuration, which you never see. This is #34 of 59 hand made. This is the best of the best and what a stage presence you will get with the Seafoam Sparkle Green Metallic finish. Such a beautiful guitar. The Albert Lee models are best known for how well they play, they feel perfect and make playing so easy. The neck is flamed roasted Quartersawn maple with a 10” radius with matching painted Seafoam sparkle headstock. The Okoume body, think of a lightweight Mahogany that is warm, light and resonant. Taylor guitars is a fan of Okoume as an acoustic tone wood, Okoume is basically fancy Mahogany. The body wood perfectly compliments the snappy roasted quartersawn maple neck with stainless steel frets. The roasted maple flamed fretboard is smooth, perfectly smooth, no grain to get caught in your fingernails. The fretboard has perfectly rounded edges so it has the played worn in comfortable feel. It’s a perfect balance. You can easily see the perfect strong vertical grain of the maple neck (quartersawn) and exceptional flame running horizontal. Every piece is hand selected for perfection, think one piece maple neck, one piece body, it all makes a difference, it’s not a jig saw puzzle, this is a fine musical instrument that will last several lifetimes. Compensated nut makes for perfect tuning and intonation up and down the neck. Vintage style 2 point knife edge tremelo with solid brass block stays in tune perfectly and adds to the amazing sound and character of the guitar. Locking Schaller Germany tuners for easy string changes and perfect tuning. Everything that came with the guitar is here, all the swag and Certificate of Authenticity, see pics. Albert Lee’s authentic real signature on the back plate of the guitar. Original black Ernie Ball Music Man case is included. As New as the day I purchased it brand new, no signs of use, no wear. Never gigged and always kept in my temperature and humidity controlled private studio. Working and playing perfectly. You can play this guitar as warm and clean as you want for country or classic rock, hard rock or whatever your playing style, when the sound starts this beautiful you can get any playing style you want with a pedal. There is not a better playing or sounding guitar than this, it is that good. This guitar is perfection. When you’re thinking of a comfortable neck profile, think Albert Lee, it is very much a similar profile to Clapton’s Worn Blackie. The silent circuit that is built into the guitar uses a standard 9v battery, it does what it says, the cool thing is that you can remove the battery and the guitar will still work perfectly, just without the silent circuit. So you don’t have to worry about the battery running out when your playing. You can play with it or without it, you choose.

Guitar is exceptionally light and resonant weight of 7 pounds 3 ounces.

A Ball Family Reserve instrument

A Ball Family Reserve instrument that celebrates Music Man’s heritage in guitar craftsmanship with some of the finest figured tonewoods and finishes available, the BFR Albert Lee Tremolo is a supreme expression of the luthier’s art. It’s a superbly balanced instrument, and thanks to its sculpted okoume body and roasted maple neck, it’s supremely comfortable and lightweight — perfect for stage performances with endless encores! This axe gives you the ultimate in playability, while its complement of custom-wound pickups delivers a massive tone arsenal that will cover any live gig or studio session. This is the first time the venerable Albert Lee BFR model has been offered with a versatile HSS pickup configuration, which makes this guitar unique indeed!

Roasted maple neck and fingerboard for enhanced stability

Ernie Ball Music Man uses a proprietary torrefaction (roasting) procedure on the gorgeously figured flame maple neck and fingerboard of this BFR Albert Lee Tremolo. The process removes almost all the moisture from the wood and collapses the cell walls, which makes the guitar much more insensitive to humidity and climatic changes, while optimizing resonance, sustain, and overall tone. If you gig far and wide, you’ll appreciate this the next time you play Phoenix after a week in Miami! (But if you ever do need to perform a neck adjustment, Music Man’s unique adjustment wheel makes it fast and painless.) As roasting removes moisture, it also removes weight, so you can play marathon sets without next-day visits to your chiropractor. And your fretting hand will savor the feel of this neck’s proprietary gunstock oil and hand-rubbed wax blend finish.

Floating vibrato and Schaller locking tuners for perfect pitch

With the Music Man floating vintage vibrato on your Ernie Ball Music Man BFR Albert Lee Tremolo, you’ll get in tune and stay there. This vintage-style vibrato is constructed of chrome-plated hardened steel with bent steel saddles. The guitar’s headstock is adorned with Schaller M6-IND locking tuners that make string changing a cinch. Just insert the string, tighten the clamp screw, and tune it up to pitch. Strings won’t be wound around the shaft so your tuning will be stable, no matter how hard you play.
