MTD 535-24 with Quilted Makore Top, Flamed Maple Body & Birdseye Maple Fingerboard

The quilted Makore 10 top on this 535-24 has incredible depth and figuring, and the matching headstock veneer, truss rod cover, and wood knobs carry that aesthetic through every detail of the build. Multiple veneers between the Makore top and the figured maple body add visual complexity at the seams that rewards close inspection. Birdseye maple fingerboard, Purpleheart World MTD logo, custom MTD bridge, magnetic covers standard, and the Buzz Feiten Tuning System round out a front-of-instrument spec sheet that is already exceptional.

But the back is where this bass really surprises you. The figured maple body back has a flamed quality to it that is genuinely stunning, almost reminiscent of the way a Ken Smith looks from behind. And then there is the multi-piece neck with titanium neck bars and what appears to be Wenge running through the center laminates with crazy flame throughout. This neck is a piece of art on its own. Front, back, neck: this MTD 535-24 has absolutely no bad angles.

At 10 lbs 8 oz - on a good wide strap it balances beautifully and disappears. Ships with the MTD black gig case.
