Pre-Owned Yamaha YEP-201 Student Euphonium - Lacquer

If you are looking for the absolute standard in student low brass, this is it. The Yamaha YEP-201 is arguably the most trusted and widely used student euphonium in the world. It is universally recommended by band directors for its rock-solid intonation, easy response, and legendary durability.

This is a straight-forward, no-nonsense 3-valve instrument designed to give beginning and advancing students the acoustic support they need to develop a great sound, without fighting the mechanical quirks of cheaper, lesser-known brands.

Yamaha YEP-201

• Industry Standard Design: Features a traditional 3-valve top-action layout. It is lightweight enough for younger students to hold comfortably, but produces a full, rich sound that easily anchors a middle school or high school band.
• Consistent Intonation: Yamaha is famous for building student horns that actually play in tune. The YEP-201 provides a remarkably even scale, helping developing players train their ears correctly from day one.
• Bulletproof Mechanics: Equipped with durable nickel-plated pistons that offer a smooth, fast, and reliable action year after year.

Condition & Shop Inspection

• Cosmetics: Honest Student Wear. This euphonium has been played and shows obvious signs of regular school use. The clear lacquer shows wear, surface scratching, and some minor cosmetic dings, particularly around the bell and the bottom bow. It is not a shiny case queen, but a reliable player's horn.
• Mechanics: School-Ready. While it shows cosmetic wear, it is mechanically excellent. Our expert in-house repair team has thoroughly benched, cleaned, and regulated this instrument. The valves are fast, all slides pull freely, and it is completely ready for the band room.
• Accessories: DOES NOT INCLUDE CASE
