Up for sale is a matched set of vintage PJ Marx Stiletto guitar pickups — a rare find from this short-lived but highly regarded Milwaukee-based pickup maker from the 1980s. PJ Marx pickups are increasingly sought after by collectors and players alike.

***I purchased these because I read that Andy LaRocque (King Diamond) was using these and I liked his tone.***

What's included:

• Neck position – Single Coil | DC Resistance: 3.15kΩ
• Bridge position – Humbucker | DC Resistance: 7.18kΩ

Both pickups were pulled from a working guitar and confirmed fully functional before removal. DC resistance on both reads exactly where PJ Marx Stiletto pickups are known to measure — these pickups are famously low in resistance compared to other manufacturers, but don't let that fool you. They are well known for punching well above their numbers, and that's by design.

PJ Marx pickups deliver a rock and roll tone that held its own against the best pickups of the era, and were endorsed by notable rock guitarists of the 1980s. These are a fantastic choice for classic rock, hard rock, and that big 80s sound.
