Unleashing unrivaled tone, upgraded premium drum finishes, and lightweight portability, the Neusonic series redefines USA-made affordability while staying true to the authentic Ludwig quality that has been trusted for over a century.

Precision Shell Construction

The Neusonic drum shell boasts a 7-ply crossover design—a fusion of a 4-ply maple exterior and a 3-ply cherry interior, measuring at 5.5mm thick. This innovative construction not only delivers optimal resonance but also ensures a full-range tuning capability, allowing you to explore the full depth of your sound.

45-Degree Bearing Edges

The Neusonic series shells feature a single 45-degree bearing edge with a 1/16" back cut. This precision edge enhances wide-range tuning capabilities, allowing you to dial in the perfect pitch for any style. The result is optimal sustain that reverberates through every beat, giving your performance a professional edge.

Stability Meets Legacy

Ludwig's commitment to stability and the iconic "Ludwig Sound" is evident in the Radio Frequency Shell Technology (RFST) molding. Using original bladder molds from the 1960s, this unique bonding system, combined with specialized adhesive, ensures even curing over the entire surface of the shell. RFST molding is the secret ingredient that captures the timeless Ludwig sound, bringing a legacy of quality to every Neusonic drum.
