A Gibson Custom Shop Willcutt Exclusive Cavern Collection 1959 Les Paul Standard in Slow Iced Tea Fade that takes everything players love about a great R9 and elevates it with a uniquely resonant, lightweight build. This special run was commissioned by Willcutt Guitars and designed with one goal in mind—maximum tone and feel without the weight.

At the core of the Cavern Collection is hand-selected, ultra-lightweight mahogany that’s fully chambered, resulting in a remarkably lively and responsive instrument. The acoustic resonance is immediate—you feel the guitar vibrate against your body, with notes blooming effortlessly and sustaining with clarity and depth.

Paired with this construction are Willcutt-spec Cloudbuckers—underwound PAF-style humbuckers that deliver exceptional articulation, openness, and dynamic range. They retain all the warmth and character of a vintage PAF, but with added clarity and touch sensitivity, making them equally at home for clean passages or pushing an amp into rich, harmonic overdrive.

Finished in Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged Slow Iced Tea Fade, this Les Paul delivers the look and feel of a carefully preserved vintage original with subtle checking, lightly worn hardware, and the broken-in character players love. Built by the Gibson Custom Shop, this Cavern Collection Les Paul captures the soul of a vintage ’59 while offering a more comfortable lightweight playing experience and an exceptionally open, expressive voice.
