Here for sale we have an Ibanez EHB1005F-AOM 5-String Headless Fretless Electric Bass in Arctic Ocean Matte finish. Made in Indonesia in 2023, this bass consists of an American Basswood body, a 5-piece Roasted Maple and Walnut neck, and a 24-mark Fretless Richlite fingerboard. Other appointments include a MR5HS bridge, Ibanez Custom Headpiece tuners, and Luminescent side dots. The pickups installed are a set of Bartolini BH2 pickups that are wired to a volume, balancer, 3-band EQ, Vari-Mid control, and an active/passive switch. 

The 5-pc Roasted Maple/Walnut EHB5 neck plays exactly as expected from Ibanez's EHB range. A sleek and fast design with a rounder D profile than the more modern speed necks allows for a more traditional feel to a notably modern design. The satin finish to the neck feels comfortable under the thumb, allowing easy gliding up and down the register. The headless construction of the bass ensures that neck-dive will never be an issue, coupled with the ergonomic shape of the body, this bass is a delight to hold and play. The fretless nature of this bass offers a durable and tactile playing surface whilst also providing and enhancing vibrato feel.

The Bartolini BH2 pickups have a natural warm tone that present full bodied notes with clarity. The range of controls that are available to the player give a wide variety of tonal range that can be explored with multiple combinations. The Vari-Mid 3 band EQ offers an extraordinary range of controls designed to offer the player the ability to dial in the perfect tone with the utmost precision, featuring a Mid frequency & mid boost/cut control, treble boost/cut or passive tone and a bass boost/cut. If this wasn’t enough the pickup balancer also offers a smooth blend between the pickups that the player can choose to engage in any setting.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Moderate indentations can be seen to the top edges of the headstock, these have pierced the finish. Light scratching is present near the locking posts, this is consistent with strings brushing the front face.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light markings are present across the fingerboard, these are consistent with the strings touching the fingerboard from past use. Very light indentations and scratching are present to the rear of the neck across the register, these can only be seen under close scrutiny and can lightly be felt in the playing position.

Body: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the rear face lower bout edges, these have very lightly pierced the finish but do not expose the wood beneath. All aspects of the body display light scratching which can only be seen under direct light. The Satin finish has lightly polished to a Gloss texture, this can be seen in high contact areas most noticeably between to the pickups
