This pre-owned 1958 Les Paul features a top wood selected by Ikebe staff in 2013! We have received a highly recommended, high-quality pre-owned guitar! This particular guitar boasts a maple top that was carefully selected after a visit to the Gibson Nashville factory!
This is a 1958 Les Paul, hand-selected on-site, featuring a subtly shimmering figured grain that reveals different expressions depending on the viewing angle, sure to satisfy any Les Paul fan!

The serial number history in the product listing data inside Ikebe Musical Instruments confirms that this is a Hand Selected Model.
The Hand Selected certification has been included since around mid-2013. This particular instrument does not originally have the certificate, but it is undoubtedly a Hand Selected item, with the wood hand-selected on-site by Ikebe staff at the Gibson Nashville factory.

The 1958 Les Paul, also known as a Player's Historic, features a plain maple top in its catalog models, and its rugged look is highly popular. However, this particular model uses figured maple for the top, giving it an outstanding look that rivals the 1959 Les Paul, and it exudes a different kind of charm! With its excellent cost performance and price setting, it is a very attractive model! In terms of looks and material grade, it is a masterpiece from a project that was highly popular at the time!

In 2013, the Historic Collection Les Paul underwent several minor changes, bringing it even closer to a vintage feel! The main changes in 2013 are as follows:

- Changed to New Kluson Deluxe Green Keys - Adopted Anilline Dye Finish for the back color (58, 59, 60)
- Features Custom Bucker pickups - Neck and body binding changed to a new dark cream color - Uses a truss rod without a tube, just like vintage models - Features Hide Glue Neck Fit

With the change to Custom Bucker pickups for a drier sound, as well as changes to the back color and tuning pegs, this model has a completely different feel in both sound and appearance compared to previous versions!
Combined with the adoption of the Long Stud pickups, which began to be used in the 2012 Factory Burst series in the latter half of 2012, this model represents the period when the Historic Collection Les Paul began to have a tighter sound and tone!

In 2018, the True Historic line ended, and the Historic Collection, which inherited True Historic parts and Custom Buckers, was relaunched, leading to the present day!

There are no issues or problems affecting playability. *Please note that due to the characteristics of the finish of the VOS series, scratches and rust are inherent to the paint and parts.
There are cracks inside the rear volume and tone knobs, but this does not affect their current operation.

The frets are in good working order and have almost all of their life remaining. The nut is also in good working order and the truss rod can be adjusted normally.
