The combination of the Martin guitar sound — honed over generations — and state-of-the-art standards is arguably the best way to describe the Modern Deluxe series. These are true classics infused with modern technology; the D-45 Modern Deluxe as the flagship model represents nothing less than a reimagining of a legend. The fusion of tradition and modernity has been executed beautifully. It features a soundmighty, premium-grade Sitka spruce top enhanced by the Vintage Tone System (VTS), a process that artificially ages the wood to phenomenally replicate the sound and appearance of a genuine vintage instrument. Visually striking details include European flamed maple binding on the body, fingerboard and headstock, gold-colored frets, open-gear tuners and a magnificent torch logo in mother-of-pearl and abalone on the headstock. Furthermore, state-of-the-art features have been incorporated such as liquid metal bridge pins with abalone dots, a titanium truss rod and a volume-enhancing carbon fiber bridge plate, alongside a slightly asymmetrical neck profile designed for maximum playing comfort. Visually it is a dream, featuring specially selected East Indian rosewood for the back and sides. There is no compromise on playability either; the "Vintage Deluxe High Performance Taper" neck profile offers a superb playing experience. The "Forward Shifted Scalloped X-Bracing" — utilizing solid Adirondack spruce braces — optimizes wood vibration, producing a truly sensational, harmonious sound characterized by powerful lows, tight mids and silvery highs. The resulting sound is simply incredible — all frequencies are exceptionally well-defined and balanced with a very direct response. This guitar simply radiates a wonderful vibe and is a joy to listen to, offering plenty of warmth alongside its impressive projection. So we are delighted to offer you this truly spectacular instrument in mint condition.
