The Octave Multiplexer, which debuted in 1976 as an octaver that produced rich, deep octave sounds, was only produced as a pedal for a few years, but a reissue later appeared.

This particular unit was shipped around 1976. While there is some rust, tarnish, and signs of use on the casing, it is in relatively good condition overall.

The op-amp IC is a quad-chip LM324N, and the battery snap and effect ON/OFF footswitch have been replaced. The control layout from left to right is: HIGH FILTER (controls high harmonics) / BLEND (controls the blend of the original sound and octave sound) / BASS FILTER (controls low harmonics) / BASS FILTER ON/OFF switch (rear). Its wide range of octave mix and mellow tone were appealing, and it could be used with both guitar and bass, so it was probably a valuable addition to the market at the time.

Replacement parts: Battery snap, Effect ON/OFF footswitch. Accessories: None.
