The latest Epiphone Inspired By Gibson Custom Tamio Okuda J-45 is the second signature model from Epiphone for Tamio Okuda, who will celebrate his 30th anniversary as a solo artist in 2024 and continues to lead the Japanese J-Rock scene. The back and sides are made of mahogany, while the top is made of Sitka spruce with the same thermally aged finish as Gibson. Combined with the scalloped X-bracing inside the body, this guitar produces a deep, rich sound reminiscent of a vintage guitar that has been played for years, even though it's brand new.

The body features single-ply binding on the top and back, and a New Vintage Gloss finish, which slightly tones down the gloss finish. Combined with the "Washed Vintage Sunburst" finish, which recreates a slightly faded color, it exudes a vintage look with a rich texture. The classic teardrop-shaped pickguard enhances the J-45's aesthetic. The purfling around the soundhole is seven-ply, the same as Tamio Okuda's beloved J-45, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and authenticity to the Gibson original. The one-piece mahogany neck is joined to the body with a Gibson-style dovetail joint and features a thick neck profile based on Tamio Okuda's beloved 1945 Gibson J-45, providing a vintage Gibson feel. The rosewood fingerboard with 19 medium frets features mother-of-pearl dot position marker inlays, and the rosewood rectangular bridge features saddles, a nut, and bridge pins. This model is equipped with an under-saddle LRBaggs VTC pickup and an active preamp, making it ideal for live and studio performance. Additionally, all products come with a dedicated hard case printed with the classic Inspired By Gibson Custom logo.
