Up for sale is a Black Cat Bass Octave Fuzz from 2012 in the rare and eye-catching Black Sparkle finish. The Black Cat Bass Octave Fuzz is their version of the much sought after Maestro Brassmaster Fuzz that Chris Squire used. Same knob and switch configuration as the original. This boutique pedal delivers massive fuzz tones paired with a thick analog-style octave effect, creating everything from vintage synth-like textures to crushing, speaker-ripping fuzz sounds.
Designed with bass players in mind, the Bass Octave Fuzz retains excellent low-end presence while adding rich harmonics, sustain, and aggressive character. It also works exceptionally well with guitar and synths, making it a versatile addition to any pedalboard or recording setup.
The pedal responds dynamically to playing attack and volume changes, offering a wide range of tones from gritty vintage fuzz to full-on octave chaos. Black Cat pedals are known for their boutique craftsmanship and unique sonic personality, and this one does not disappoint.
This pedal is in very good condition with light cosmetic wear from normal use. Fully tested and functioning perfectly.
