The Gibson Les Paul Parlor Acoustic is a rare convergence of two Gibson traditions — the iconic Les Paul design and the acoustic craftsmanship of Gibson's Bozeman, Montana facility. Inspired by the rare acoustic Les Pauls of the late '60s and early 2000s, this is a genuinely uncommon instrument with a distinct personality.
The tonewood combination mirrors the classic Les Paul electric: solid AAA flame maple top with solid mahogany back and sides. The result is a bold, focused voice — bright and articulate up top, with a smooth punchy low end and natural compression that suits fingerstyle, chord work, and recording equally well. Hand-scalloped X-bracing lets the top resonate freely and respond dynamically across the full playing range.
The parlor body with a single Venetian cutaway keeps things comfortable and lightweight, while the SlimTaper mahogany neck with a 12" fingerboard radius feels right at home for players coming from an electric background. The bound rosewood fingerboard is dressed with pearloid trapezoid inlays — a signature Les Paul detail that looks exactly right here.
Visually it's all Les Paul: sunburst finish, cream pickguard, and gold Les Paul headstock logo. The neck joint is hot hide glue dovetail construction — the same method Gibson's acoustic luthiers have used for generations. Electronics are the L.R. Baggs VTC+4 with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, and Grover Rotomatic kidney-style tuners handle tuning stability.
