The 2008 Gibson SG Robot is a landmark, Limited Edition electric guitar featuring the world's first automated self-tuning system. It is characterized by a unique Metallic Purple nitrocellulose lacquer finish, ebony fretboard, and carbon fiber-look pickguard. This one was purchased by one of a regular, long-time clients specifically as a collector piece, and it is in immaculate original condition with the original case, charger and shipping box.
Features a bound neck and a custom shop-style bound headstock with a mother-of-pearl logo. It’s outfitted with the Tronical-designed motorized tuners and a master control knob (MCK) to initiate tuning, which allows for multiple, user-defined, or preset tunings. The system is powered by a rechargeable battery pack. A pair of 490R and 498T humbucking pickups provide the classic, rocking, SG tone you are used to. Like all our used/vintage gear this has been tested for functionality and priced to move. The condition is excellent without any serious issues, damage, repairs, etc…. Freshly setup and adjusted in our shop. Works as it should. Hardly any signs of use at all, as it was strictly collector owned. Sold-as is. What you see is what you get.
