Epiphone Futura Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar - Firestorm Shift ( 122062086 )

Be the coolest kid on the playground with Epiphone's new color shifting guitars.

With its classic single-cut silhouette and unmistakable voice, the Les Paul remains one of the most recognizable and influential instruments ever made—and the Epiphone Futura Les Paul Custom pushes that formula forward with a modern, performance-driven design. Part of Epiphone’s all-new Futura Series—built to deliver pro-level performance and bold contemporary styling at an accessible price—it pairs a mahogany body with Ultra Modern weight relief for improved comfort without sacrificing sustain. A maple top adds clarity and definition, while the set mahogany neck and compound-radius ebony fingerboard balance rock-solid stability with smooth playability. ProBucker Ignite humbuckers with coil splitting and phase switching unlock a wide tonal range, and locking hardware ensures reliable tuning. Available in two striking Chromashift finishes—Firestorm Shift and Twilight Shift— it’s a confident evolution of a true electric guitar icon.

Mahogany Body With Maple Top for Warmth and Tonal Balance

The Futura Les Paul Custom’s mahogany body provides the thick, sustaining voice that defines the Les Paul sound, with strong midrange presence and focused low-end response. Ultra Modern weight relief reduces overall weight while preserving resonance, making it more comfortable for extended playing without sacrificing tonal depth. The carved maple top adds brightness and articulation, balancing the warmth of the mahogany and helping notes cut through with clarity. Together, these tonewoods create a versatile foundation suited to both clean and high-gain applications.

Mahogany Neck and Ebony Fingerboard for Comfortable Playability

A glued-in mahogany neck with a long tenon enhances sustain and structural stability, while the Modern C profile provides a smooth, fast-playing feel. The ebony fingerboard adds snap and definition, complemented by a 10–14” compound radius that allows for comfortable chord work near the nut and effortless bends higher up the neck. Stainless steel medium-jumbo frets offer durability and a slick playing surface, and Super 400-style pearloid split block inlays add a classic Custom aesthetic. The contoured heel improves upper fret access, making lead work more fluid and accessible.

ProBucker Ignite Pickups, Coil Splitting and Phase Switching for Versatile Tone

Equipped with a pair of Epiphone ProBucker Ignite humbuckers, the Futura Les Paul Custom delivers high-output power with clarity and articulation. These pickups provide tight lows, punchy mids and defined highs, making them adaptable across a wide range of genres. Push/pull volume controls enable coil splitting for brighter, single-coil-style tones, while phase switching introduces additional tonal variation for more unique textures. This expanded control layout allows players to shape their sound quickly and move between traditional Les Paul tones and more modern voices.

LockTone Hardware and Premium Appointments

The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece ensure solid intonation and sustain, keeping the guitar stable under aggressive playing conditions. Locking Grover Rotomatic tuners provide precise tuning and quick string changes, while a Graph Tech nut enhances tuning consistency and resonance. Posi-Lok strap buttons offer added security for stage use, and multi-ply binding with Custom-style appointments completes the instrument’s refined aesthetic. The Chromashift finishes add a modern visual edge, reinforcing the guitar’s contemporary identity.

Modern Les Paul Design With Visual Impact

Blending iconic Les Paul character with modern performance features, the Epiphone Futura Les Paul Custom delivers a flexible playing experience with enhanced comfort and tonal range. Its combination of timeless construction, advanced electronics and contemporary styling makes it a strong choice for players looking for a guitar that performs confidently across a wide range of musical situations.
