Updated for 2026, the MTD Kingston Saratoga Deluxe 5 delivers a modernized version of a classic MTD design, pairing comfortable ergonomics with flexible electronics and upgraded appointments. This 5-string electric bass features an ash body, roasted maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, active/passive electronics, MTD JJ pickups, and licensed Hipshot Ultralite tuners.

The roasted maple neck improves stability while offering a smooth, broken-in playing feel. MTD’s asymmetrical neck profile and compound 10"-14" fingerboard radius provide excellent comfort for long playing sessions, and the Buzz Feiten Tuning System helps keep intonation precise across the fingerboard.

Every MTD Kingston Saratoga Deluxe is quality controlled and set up in Kingston, NY. The top-loading MTD Quick Release bridge makes string changes fast and easy, while licensed Hipshot Ultralite tuners help provide solid tuning performance without unnecessary neck dive.

The onboard active preamp provides bass, middle, and treble boost/cut for flexible tone shaping. Switch to passive mode to couple the hum-cancelling J-style pickups directly to the output and engage the passive tone control for a more traditional voice.
