Backchecks Upgrade
Vintage Rhodes pianos were manufactured as a cost effective instruments. This piano has been fitted with backchecks—felt-covered wooden blocks that catch the hammer after striking the tine. This action upgrade which comes from acoustic pianos, improves touch, control, and responsiveness while reducing mechanical noise for more refined playing experience.

Tonebar Grommets Upgrade
We’ve installed our latest tonebar grommets using a proprietary 3-shore configuration for enhanced sustain and note stability. Unlike standard Rhodes grommets, which use uniform hardness across the keyboard, this setup features firmer grommets in the bass for improved tine swing, and softer grommets in the treble for increased sustain and musicality.

Hammertips Upgrade
The original 5-shore hammertips have been replaced with a custom 8-shore configuration, developed in our workshop. This upgrade allows for a smoother tonal transition across the keyboard and greater dynamic consistency.

Upgraded Cabinet Finish
The original tolex has been removed and replaced with ExoHyde textured protective coating on both the piano and speaker cabinets. This finish not only elevates the visual aesthetic but also provides superior durability. Unlike tolex, ExoHyde can be easily touched up if needed. The lid has been refinished to match, and a velvet-fitted outer cover ensures a snug and protective fit.

Fully Serviced
This piano has been serviced, voiced, and precision-tuned in our workshop. New hardware (corners, hinges, glides, latches etc) along with upgraded power supply and refurbished amplification, resulting in improved reliability and a lower noise floor. All original speakers have been tested and are fully functional.
