The Waldorf Quantum (MK1) is a flagship 8-voice polyphonic hybrid synthesizer that combines digital sound generation with analog filters. Released around 2018–2019, it features a 61-key Fatar keybed and a high-resolution touchscreen, focusing on advanced wavetable, granular, and sampling synthesis. - Voices: 8-voice polyphony, expandable or paired for 16 voices in some contexts (depending on OS/filter usage), and dual-timbral.
- Oscillators: 3 Stereo Digital Oscillators per voice.

- Wavetable: Waldorf-style wavetables with Nave speech synthesis and wavetable generation from audio.
- Waveform: Up to 8 simultaneous waves per oscillator (detuned/chordal) with hard-sync, warp, and PWM.

MK1 vs. MK2 Differences
- Memory: The MK1 has 4GB internal flash, whereas the MK2 (later version) upgraded this to 59GB.
- Aftertouch: The MK2 introduced polyphonic aftertouch to the keybed, while the MK1 supports channel aftertouch.
- Firmware: Both models run the same OS, allowing the MK1 to perform most of the same synthesis tasks as the newer model via software updates.
