The Sandberg California II TM5 Grand Dark Violet Metallic is known for the exceptional craftsmanship, premium materials, and versatile high-performance sound. It has been crafted with precision and attention to detail. The bass features a high-quality alder body providing a solid foundation for rich, focused, and resonant tone with excellent clarity and punch. The Violet Metallic finish, paired with black hardware and a black pickguard, gives it a striking modern aesthetic with a dark, stage-ready presence.

The neck and body has been designed with player comfort in mind. It has a well balanced body and smooth, fast-playing maple neck with a satin finish, paired with an ebony fingerboard and abalone inlays. It has a comfortable feel with 22 frets, a 44mm nut width, 18mm string spacing, and a 35” scale length, making it ideal for extended low-end clarity and fast, articulate playing.

The Grand Dark features Sandberg pickups paired with a Darkglass Tone Capsule preamp for ultimate tonal versatility. With Volume, Pan, Bass, Treble, and a coil switch, it allows players to move seamlessly from tight, modern aggressive tones to more open, dynamic and expressive sounds with deep control over the midrange character.

Every Sandberg bass has been Plek’d in the factory. What is a Plek, you ask? A Plek is a computer-controlled fret leveling tool, which in the hands of an experienced tech, can provide an unparalleled fret job. It levels frets with an accuracy of .001″, assists in the process of making nuts, and offers extremely advanced setup functions.
