We have received the “Ultimate Ergonomic Headless Bass” from Ibanez.

This is a limited-production model featuring a short scale!

■Ergonomic Body Design

The EHB body design is based on ergonomics to ensure the instrument fits the player perfectly, whether playing standing or seated.

The horn is shaped to balance the body and neck while providing a comfortable grip when playing standing, while the body curve on the high-string side is designed with a focus on fit and balance, particularly when playing seated.

The area of the body surface where the elbow rests features a contoured slope. Additionally, all body edges that come into contact with the body are finished with smooth rounded edges.

■Slanted Body Back

The back of the body features a bold cut that tapers toward the low strings. This design enhances comfort during seated playing and is engineered with the angle of the player’s line of sight to the fingerboard inlays in mind.

Additionally, to facilitate access to the high-fret areas, the back of the horn on the treble side is cut in a scooped shape.

■Chambered Body

The body features chambering to allow for a more visceral sense of its resonance.

By directly feeling the vibrations inside the body, much like a hollow-body guitar, the player can better recognize the sound they are producing.

This also results in a slight reduction in weight.

■9-Piece Panga Panga/Walnut Neck with Graphite Reinforcement Rods

We’ve adopted a 9-piece neck combining Panga Panga and Walnut.

Both are hardwoods, making it easy to achieve a clear sound image and characterized by a crisp, well-defined tone.

■Panga Panga Fretboard & Medium Stainless Steel Frets

We’ve adopted a Panga Panga fretboard, which adds a clear core to the sound image due to the hardness of the wood.

■Nordstrand? Custom Big Split Pickup

Equipped with a Nordstrand? Big Split custom pickup.

This split pickup delivers a sweet tone with a rich low end. It naturally covers everything from sounds ideal for bass lines to funky slap tones.

■Vari-Mid 3-Band EQ w/EQ bypass switch

As the abbreviation for “Variable frequency control for Mid EQ” suggests, this is an EQ system that offers flexible control over the midrange.

Typically, a 3-band EQ divides the frequency range into three bands—HIGH, MID, and LOW—and allows you to boost or cut specific frequencies preset by the manufacturer. However, with the Vari-Mid, you can adjust the focus of the midrange to your liking.

■MR5HS Mono Rail Bridge with Adjustable String Spacing Saddles

We’ve adopted a newly developed, proprietary headless-specific bridge.

Tuning is performed by turning the bridge end. While the stiffness of this turning mechanism was a weakness in other manufacturers’ products, we have achieved smooth rotation by combining our unique design with Teflon washers.

The saddles can be moved 1.5 mm to the left or right, allowing you to freely adjust the spacing between strings (string spacing) within the range of motion. This enables fine-tuning to suit your playing style.

- Includes a soft case for electric guitars
