A vintage fretless bass that’s quite rare to come across.

This is not a later modification but an original fretless model straight from the factory—a model that’s rarely found on the market.

The neck date has faded, but we’ve managed to confirm it’s from 1976.

There are no signs of any modifications to the nut or neck area; it remains in its original condition.

The neck condition is also unusually good for a 1970s model.

There is plenty of truss rod adjustment left.

It is currently set at about 45 degrees from the neutral position, resulting in a slight forward bow.

We’ve confirmed there’s about 90 degrees of adjustment remaining, so it should serve you well for many years to come.

As this is a fretless guitar, it’s to be expected that there are string marks and some wear on the finish of the fingerboard.

However, these do not cause buzzing during play, so they shouldn’t be an issue unless you’re particularly particular.

Regarding the body, the pickup date is faint and difficult to read, but based on the texture of the gray bobbin, I’ve determined it to be original. It has not been rewound.

Some of the pots have had their solder reapplied, but both are original. The capacitors are the familiar Circle D brand.

The tone pot is from the 7th week of 1976; the volume pot is partially obscured by solder, but I was just able to make out the “76” marking.

The pickguard has been replaced.

Although it’s a replacement, it blends in so well that at first glance, you might mistake it for the original.

Additionally, the bridge mounting screws have been changed, and other screws and springs have been replaced, but this is a fine specimen that has retained its key original features.
