The Carl Martin Ottawa is an optical envelope filter and auto-wah that is a miniaturized version of the Classic Optical Envelope, which was once popular in the Vintage Series.
In the Classic Optical Envelope, two foot switches were used to switch between high-pass, band-pass, and low-pass filters, but with the miniaturization of the S Series, this was changed to pin switches.
In addition to the control section, which includes a "Q" that adjusts tone, level, and frequency, the new "Attack" control allows you to adjust sensitivity to picking.
